I found this pic on ZLOG, and I really like the comradery it shows! We all share the same roads, so why not help a brother out?

I already posted about the Nike SB Future Primitive being a possible great 700CMX shoe, but today I found some more pics and information on Highsnobiety. And now I’ve seen better pics, I must admit I really like it! It might be a bit too tech for some people, but I will definitely try them on to see if they feel as good as they look.
Skateboarding has always been my first love, so it’s nice to see Martin and gabe from MASH filmed this add for Incase promoting P Rod’s new signature line.
I’m planning on doing this night ride / jam in one of the following weekends. I still need a few filmers with night vision camaras and editors who want to make a small edit of this event. Since my edit skills don’t go any further than Windows Movie Maker…
And of course I need as many Fixed Gear Riders, 700cmx-ers, Thrash Bikers, BMXers, Skateboarders and Rollerskaters as possible, to reclaim the night time streets of Arnhem!
This way you can bring your girlfriend too…

Back in 1996, I started skateboarding, and THE skate shoe brand in that time was éS. This year the brand excists 15 years, and to celebrate that, they have a really nice website called “Skateboarding starts with éS“. Visiting the site feels like a trip down memory lane.
Back in the days, when the air was clean and sex was dirty…
Great special effects!
Sometimes I get a little sentimental, like back in the mid 90s, when the world wasn’t taken over by cellphones and the world wide web, and girls my age didn’t dress like they were 10 years older.
Those were the days, if you wanted to see the newest gear, you had to wait till your local news stand had a 2 months old version of Transworld Skateboarding. And you would read every single letter in it and look at every ad at least 10 times, so you knew what you couldn’t get… And in school holidays, you and your friends would go on roadtrips to Rotterdam or Scheveningen, cause that were the cities with “big” skateshops, so you could replace your ducktaped shoes with shoes you had to save for all your pocketmoney.
And meeting friends was easy, text messages didn’t excist, so you would drop by their house to see if they were home, and if not, you would just go to your local skatepark and see who’s there. Now you have to put a post on Facebook or send a group text message to see if you will go out and play. It almost seems these days people don’t know how to enjoy themselfs anymore without modern day technology. And that includes myself. I spend hours behind my pc, reading blogs and writing for FUCCIT. I almost seem to forget to go outside and play like in the old days.
You knew all the phone numbers of your friends and didn’t rely on the phonebook of your mobile phone. Right now, if my phone would crash, I would be lost! My best friends are on pre dial, so no need for remembering their numbers.
And the hardcore scene wasn’t spoiled by scene star attitudes…
Those were the days.
Turning 30 isn’t as much fun as it sounds…
Cheers,
Votske

Even the skateboard companies are getting into fixed gear! Found this Toy Machine board at Hipster Nascar.
