In six days you can register yourself for the 2011 London edition of the Tweed Run. I’ve never been there, but every year I see the pictures, and it looks like a really nice ride. And their posters are always great, just like this one!
So if you’re in the London area, go and join them on the 9th of April!

Although it’s not intended as a bike workshop apron, I wouldn’t mind having one of these to use in the chopshop.
I guess everybody once had that situation where you were planning to do just a small bit of maintenance to your bike, whithout having the risk of getting dirty, but somehow you still got a nasty grease stain on your favorite pair of raw denim which can’t be washed…
So goodbye to those situations by wearing one of these stylish aprons! Completely handmade of rugged heavy duty canvas in Ballard, Washington using all locally sourced materials.
More info en detail pics can be found on the Blackbird blog.
For $85 it can be yours! Get it here.

Found it on the Blackbird blog through Hypebeast.

I found the Luc Chair by Böttcher+Henssler at Hypebeast, and I really like it! Back in the days when I was studying to become a product designer, I always liked to use my designs mathematically correct. And the folding of this chair reminds me of that. They would look amazing with my dining table. 6 in black, please…

Bicycles made of bamboo aren’t something new, but the Bamboocycle UH-02 is aesthetically very pleasing!

The Bamboocycle UH-02 is an urban cycle created with a sustainable and responsible design vision. UH-02 is simple, light (8.8kg) and stylish. It is designed for your daily commute to work, an adventure through the city or leisure riding on the weekends. It is designed to look and feel fresh in the urban visual culture and it comes in many different colors and styles to match your personality.

Design

The wheelbase distance was reduced from the average bicycle to allow tight maneuvering in reduced spaces. It’s steering system was designed to be quick, allowing rapid and accurate changes of direction. The riding position was designed for fast handling, always alert and prepared for the unexpected.

Aesthetics

Aesthetics intentend to communicate agility, freedom, movement, speed and balance between nature and technology. When you drive in the city you face motors, gases, noises, stress and pollution, but when you ride at full speed between cars, leaving everything behind, the feeling is undescribable, it’s a victory over sometimes useless modernity.

Construction

Harvested in the state of Veracruz, Mexico; each bamboo has been carefully selected and treated to increase strength and weather endurance, making it an ideal vehicle in all weather conditions and able to withstand the impact of city streets. The joints are made of steel and reinforced with carbon fiber. Every bamboo is differente so manufacturing has to be handmade, resulting in a unique, durable and stylish bicycle. A Bamboocycle not only doesn’t pollute when riding, but didn’t contaminate when produced.

For anybody who’s ever visited the Mishka flagship store in Williamsburg, Brooklyn, the interior is adorned with kitchsy and off-base items from banners to masks and toys. These one of a kind items are often found through Mishka founder Greg Rivera’s various trips through local weekly swap meets and flea markets. Take a trip with Greg on one of his trips which are the catalyst for some of his inspiration.

This is what Hypebeast wrote about these caps:

New Era Japan introduce a new style with their Messenger Cap. Constructed of fleece, the hat features a soft body with a toggle elastic closure. A small nod to racing culture comes courtesy of a striped motif on the side. Available in three colors at select retailers.

I’ld like to have the black and the grey one, so New Era Japan, if you’re reading this, contact me ;)

Leilow seems to be a Hawaiian clothing company doing something with the Aloha Fixed Gear crew, I couldn’t be bothered to read more about them, but you can do so at Hypebeast
