Found on High Snobiety:

Not for the first time, Beinghunted has gotten together with Bagjack. After previously working on messenger bags, they chose this time the tote bag. They based it off of a classic messenger bag from the German bicycle courier supplier and added some nice details to it.

“One key element is the Velcro® webbing on the outside which allows the wearer to add on smaller pouches, carabiners, etc. as well as customize the bag with his/her own patches. In order to keep the contents protected during tougher weather conditions, Pe suggested to add a cover with waterproof zip, an element which is not too common on most tote bags. For easier access, this lid can also be folded outwards when opened to enhance stability. We also adjusted the lenght of the carry straps, adding a bit to the length, so that the bag could be shifted further towards the back when fully loaded.”

Art is good!
Found this interesting expo at High Snobiety. This is what they wrote about it:

Rad Collector pulls in news of a collaborative photo project between Ari Marcopoulos and Mark Gonzales at Franklin Parrasch Gallery.

The exhibition includes Marcopolous’s adventurous photographs of model Diana Dondoe and Mark Gonzales. Post-production Gonzales has drawn and etched upon the surfaces of these photographs. The twelfth issue of HoBO magazine will feature these collaborative photographs and an interview with Gonzales by Glenn O’Brien. The proceeds of works sold from this exhibition will be given to a cancer research foundation.

The exhibition runs until June 26, 2010. Take a leap for more images from the series.

velo-book-front

I know it’s scary, Votske posting about things you can read, but I even made a new categorie for it: “Books we like“.
I can re-write the whole article about the book, or I can just quote it from Highsnobiety where I found it:

Gestalten presents “Velo – Bicycle Culture and Design”, one of the latest books to release from the publisher.

“Velo introduces a wild bunch of passionate cyclists – frame builders, urban planners, artists, photographers, and those who ride professionally – who are making an impact. They are not only shaping styles, but promoting cycling as a primary form of transport. The book also explores the aesthetic of today’s cycling culture and presents custom-made frames and art bikes as well as a selection of contemporary illustration and design influenced by the cycling movement. Geared toward anyone who has a personal or professional interest in cycling, Velo is the fast lane into a current topic that is both entertaining and socially relevant.”

If you click on the link to the Highsnobiety article, you can find more pics of the book. And while you’re busy clicking, take a look at the Highsnobiety’s little brother site RAD Collector. I know I like it…
