Well I’ve been to the Paria alleycat in Den Haag. And fist of all it showed us that it isn’t easy to organize a alleycat. A couple of things went wrong, we had to go to a checkpoint somewhere in a (hugh)park? In all my years as a messenger I never had to deliver something “somewhere around that neighborhood”.
Then there was a checkpoint that wasn’t there jet and everybody had to wait for the checkpoint to show up and the whole group came together again. And in through messenger style everything took a fucced up long time to start so the whole alleycat, first race, sprints, second race and tricks took about 7 or 8 6 hours.
So did you like it you may ask. Hell yeah, it was really good to see so manny guys and girls show up (27 I belief). And besides the old and familiar faces there were a lot of new ones. Like the guy’s from Enschede who had a 3 hour train ride to get to Den Haag. And don’t forget the police chase to the beach which always makes it more exiting.
And our team from Haute Equipe did some good business for the “kattebak“, cause our man “Meneer” Eddie (formally know as Special Ed) took the first place in the race.
And this old guy won the fixie trick shit and went home with a couple of MKS pedals sponsored by our friends of RFG, thanks Roy!
So Willemjan, thank you of a really good day over in Den Haag and we will see you back in Eindhoven.
First place “Meneer” Eddie

Pica credits Michael also more pictures of the Paria alleycat.
p.s. Looking at this picture I realized something, we need some kind of team outfit. So “ploegleider” when can we ride in our own outfits? Now it looks like “Meneer” Eddie rides for Cycloon and the other one looks like a bum and needs a haircut (or is that his helmet).
