Kwalificaties voor het WK BikePolo in Berlijn!

Zondag 20 juni, om 12:00 inschrijven op het poloveld in Arnhem.

Inschrijven met je team is mogelijk van 12:00 tot 12:30. 
De pools worden verdeeld en om 13:00 is de eerste wedstrijd. 

Het kost niets, en als je wilt eten moet je dit meenemen. Bij goed weer stellen we voor om wat BBQ’s te kopen, en ter plekke het gezelligste meest casual toernooi van nederland te hebben. 

Als je geen team hebt, maar wel mee wilt spelen, mail dan naar thomas@1meter98.nl, dan zullen we proberen ook wat combinatieteams te formeren. 

De beste twee teams gaan door naar Berlijn. Er is maar plaats voor twee Nederlandse teams op het Berlijnse WK, en zondag 20 juni is de enige kans op je daarvoor te kwalificeren. 

Voor de winnende teams zal er een kleine prijs zijn. That will be all! 12:00 in Arnhem, 13:00 spelen. 2 winnende teams. kost niets. eigen BBQ mee en eigen eten en drinken mee.

Hardcourt Bike Polo Tournament – Saturday 8th May – Amsterdam

To celebrate the grand opening of Giro d’Italia 2010 in Amsterdam, we proudly invite you to our hardcourt bike polo tournament Polomania! The tournament takes place at the Johan Cruyff outdoor court located right next to the Olympisch Stadion, which is the finish point of Giro d’Italia time trial on the same day. Teams from Netherlands, Germany, Belgium, England, France, Italy and Spain show their skills and love to the bicycle in a different manner alongside the Giro racing.

The moved to the NDSM place in Amsterdam Noord.

Here at FUCCIT we have a perfect homecourt, smooth concrete, the right size, etc.
Since FUCCIT is asked to organize the polo tournament at the ODCMC, I thought it would be nice do a “generale repetitie” the day after the Russian Rouletteycat, so people can both race and play polo. Like I said in my first post about this weekend, this will be the first (or one of the first) time for a lot of teams to play against other teams. So if you come to Arnhem the second weekend of August, you’ll still have some time to practice and make some tacticle changes to your team untill you play at the ODCMC. With this little tournament, Le Haute and MalleT also have a change to see how many teams might wanna show up at the real deal, ’cause they’ll be running the polo tournament at the ODCMC in Groningen. So if you please be so kind to mention in the comments if your team is coming on the 9th, that would be great.
I already know there’s a team coming from the AFG crew, and I guess there will be a team from the EHVFXD crew and maybe the team we FUCCIT boys already played against in Eindhoven. So Rotterdam, are you guys coming? Arnhem will be present with at least 3 teams, so bring it on!

The day will be very easy:

• (12.30 pm – Teams coming by train can be picked up by a local guiding them to the  new FUCCIT Homecourt)
• 1 pm ’till late – Depending on how many teams show up, groups will be made, or we’ll all play in one big group. Within each group, every team will play against every other team in their group. We’ll play according to the FUCCIT rules, with some changed ECMC2009 rules added: first team that scores 5 goals wins, with a maximum of 15 minutes per game. Winning teams gets 3 points, draw means each team gets 1 point, loosing gets you 0 points. If enough teams show up, the best 4 teams go on to the semi finals, the loosers of these 2 games will play the “loosers final” for places #4 & #3, but if we haven’t got enough teams, we’ll move on the the finals right away. The winners of the semi finals or the best two teams from the first group, will play the final for places #2 & #1!

Since I wanted this tournament to be free, you’ll have to bring your own beer, drinks and food. Supermarkets in Arnhem open at 4 pm on sunday, so keep that in mind… Frituurs are very near, you can choose between 4 or 5 ones within a 5 minute radius.

Yeah, that’s right, that’s his own front wheel minus 13 spokes, wrecked by himself!
So watch your bike when you’re playing against Team Polotov Cocktail on the 9th of August or at the ODCMC, ’cause god knows what he’ll do to your bike!
