The last post on 21-08: It sounds dramatic but is actually the best we wished for. Well, here at Fuccit is where dreams come true and where some of us bike polo harder. Enough now on this complacency, let’s talk about you for once. Following beneath is the list of your poules and your teams that are going to play on saturday. Pay attention: your bikepolo starts at 11:00 sharp, the schedule is too tight to act lame. Take a look on the ODCMC website for more times/schedule/programming.

Not yet final and thus pre-last post on 20-08: After hours of debating, voting and headbreaking the jury has finally reached their verdict. We have come to a list with 12 teams that can come and play in this weekend’s ODCMC-bikepolo-tournament. Unfortunately we had to disappoint some people but the good part is that we also can congratulate  a lot of other players. Tomorrow the definitive schedule will be up so keep your eyes on the website. Here’s the list with teams that got lucky:

And some more editing in this post in post on 16-08: We’re heading for twelve as 10 teams have registered up till now. At least one threesome from Amsterdam will come. But more importantly: real competition is on its way!! Ze Zjermans Ar Cumming!! Team Velopolo aus Bielefeld haben sich registriert. Das wird Spass. Dus maak je borst nat en pomp je banden op. Fix your mallets and make sure to wear a helmet (obligatory). Only space left for 2 teams more and we didn’t hear that much from the messenger community. Will this become a fakenger-thing? Are couriers no good at playing polo?

Latest edit so far on 14-08: After one week, already 8 teams have registered from cities like Zwolle, Arnhem, Eindhoven, Amsterdam but we haven’t heard anything from Utrecht, Maastricht or Groningen yet. So, getting 12 teams to play isn’t going to be the problem. Next friday Tjeerd and I will announce which teams are allowed to enter competition.
Neither problem is going to be the party, food and drinks section cause I spoke to the guys from ODCMC and they guaranteed it’s going to be a blast for all PAYING competitors. If you are sure you’re coming to Groningen let them know how many drinks they should get by registering on their site too, please. The 25 euros per person can be paid a the premises.

First post on 10-08: During the Open Dutch Cycle Messenger Championships in Groningen on the 22nd of august, Fuccit will be in charge of the Urban Bicycle Polo Tournament (registration form). Perhaps the most important side event for people on fixed gears and non-couriers. Preliminaries are held right before and right after the mainrace and sprints so we’ll be on a really tight schedule. But before we get to the actual bikepolo playin we are in need of some teams to play with us. There are already three (correction: 7) teams on the list and only 12 can enter the competition so hurry up and let’s see who’s got the most playfull balls of them all.
