Mark Saturday, August 7th in your agenda! That Friday, I’ll be turning 30, and just like last year, I’ll organize an alleycat. Details after the read more thingie.

We’ll meet at the Ghetto Keirin Track (that’s a 1 minute ride from Arnhem trainstation and it’s right next to the Arnhem’s biggest parking lot) around 1pm-ish. The race will start 2pm sharp.
Due to the concept of the race, it’s really important you’ll bring:

• a BIG slingbag
• a lock
• a pen / marker
• a wallet, filled with some money or cards (no entry money, but you might have to spend some money along the race)
• a camera or a phone with a camera

The weather forecast is supposed to be not so nice as I wished…
20 °C and chances of rain isn’t the ideal swimming weather. The race is still on though!
After the race we’ll chill in Sonsbeek park, which is home to the Sonsbeek Theater Avenue. This means food, drinks, theater and nice people in the whole park. So even if you’re not racing, chilling at the finish is fun too!

I just found out that one of my favorite Baile Funk acts, Schlachthofbronx is coming to the Zomerfeesten in Nijmegen next week’s wednesday! That means: dance your arse off for free!

Some of you might now, I’m a dj too as Josh de la Digue. Next Thursday, June 24th I will do a nice Baile Funk and Dirty House dj set together with world famous percusionist Martin Gort at the Arty Party in the Max Brothers in Arnhem. This is the info about the party in Dutch:

Afsluiter van de avond is Dem Slacker, deze jonge artiest heeft zichzelf  al wereldwijd op de kaart gezet!
Donderdag 24 Juni is Arnhem aan de beurt om hard te rocken op zijn DJ skills.

De avond is niet compleet zonder jeugdfilms, lekkere ijsjes en goed verklede mensen!

diy bikefest * 29 july – 1 august 2010 * el lokal pirata* scheveningen * the netherlands

DIY Bikefest is a diy organised festival for bicycle freaks, punx and pirates. It will take place at the Piratenbar squat next to the sea in the harbor of Scheveningen (hellingweg 2, actually check evil google maps here). There will be lots of working, welding and building on bikes, workshops, bike-attack bikewars, bakfietsraces, infostands, bands &dj’s, vegan food and more more more.

3 days of anarchy on wheels!

There will be a possibility to put your tent up on the small camping of El Lokal Pirata or to arrange sleeping places otherwise. Contact us at diybikefest at puscii.nl to be sure of a place to stay!

The doc. told me that I had to do stuff I liked doing earlier. That also means posting some shit here on the website. I hate doing that recently but hé the doc. says it’s good for me and Djee-Djee (from EHVFXD)send me this mail so here it is:

How: bring your own food (meat or whatever you eat) and drinks, so no hassle with I don’t like that food, etc. I will go and get throw away bbq’s, so on Sunday I will ask a small fee (1euro) from each on of you. 
Albert Heijn XL is pretty close by, open from 16.00u till 22.00u.

Please come all because the weather should be very nice and we can have a nice relaxed poloday!

But don’t expect a post from me every day, I still hate it. And I’m not going but Arnhem probably manage to get a team there I guess.

I think we can say the Arnhem Uphill Alleycat was a great succes! I had a great time being 2 checkpoints and being the “arsehole” that wanted to see everybody’s marble, flyer and manifest before they could get their sticker! After the race Skitch, Pieter, Ab and another guy from Utrecht (sorry, I didn’t get your name) went to check some secret dirts in the woods close to my last checkpoint, and the dirts looked great! No 700cmx material, that was a shame… Funny thing was the naked guy walking through the woods, acting like it was totally normal…
After the race we all had pizza and drank lot’s of beer, all for the good cause!
Le Haute had an auction for the same good cause (Tour for Life) as well, and I got a really nice sticker collection. Followed by more beer drinking for the good cause…

It’s time I’ll be doing an alleycat of my own any time soon, haven’t done that for way too long!

And I’ll be on two checkpoints, so probably no blog posts today from my hand…
