I found this “Big BMX” at the Cyclorama website. First I thought it might be nice, but it’s a crappy alu frame, made for hipsters who wanna look cool cruising around town…
The SE FGFS frames have proven that a one piece rear end does NOT work, so they might think it’s a big BMX, but I guess it will break after several bunnyhops.
At Cyclorame they posted several pics of the bike being used in polo, and for that it might be handy, although I still think fixed is the best option for a polo bike.

So my conclusion, this is another hipster bike that might be handy for polo, but that’s it. I’ld say it’s a waist of your money, if you want a 26″ BMX, get a Volume. The Big BMX is a big FAIL.

Vince and myself are doing some fixed gear mountain biking (although I’m a bit busy with work right now). But my good friend Angus put this clip on Facebook. And I remember the days (a couple of years ago) I did the same, freewheel mountain biking without breaks. And back then I told the guys that this would be the next big thing after al the fixie bullshit. But maybe we first have to start the fixed gear mountain bike shit up before going freewheel. Because you know we from FUCCIT are the trendsetters!

A little while ago i thought it would be a good idea to put a freewheel on my fixie. I’d miss placed the brakes so i had to run it without, this wasn’t a good idea as i ended up rapped myself round a tree. Anyway, i did manage to get a bit of footage before injury then bad weather stopped play. It is what it is, whatever that is! A bit of fun on a 700c…

And ‘some’ proof from me riding freewheel no brakes mountainbiking. And yes that kid in front of me went faster!

And I always get the compliments for my outfit, they call me a sharp dresser (helmet to fit ofcourse).

Great news!
The UCI BMX Supercross is coming to Arnhem! A while ago I posted about the fixed gear mountain bike ride Mitch and I did with our sponsor Wouter from Brainwash. We toured a bit around on Papendal to ride the Olympic BMX start hill and see what else we could find. We found out that they were building a brand new BMX race course on Papendal, and now it seems the UCI BMX Supercross circus is coming to town! May 27th and 28th 2011 the top BMX riders from all over the world will be here in Arnhem, so guess who will sitting in the audience!
