First of all I want to congratulate him with the birth of his second son. And knowing him he’s probably called Junior II

But as you know Vincent and myself were at the UCI BMX Supercross World cup at Papendal this weekend. And damn that shit is so cool. Those guys and girls were flying.

But afterwards there was a party and because we like a beer every now and then, we went there. And although we didn’t know what to expect, we said to each other, if only we meet one of the Colombian guys our evening would be great. Why a Colombian you might ask…. Well here comes Felipe back again. You should know he was the National Colombian BMX champion (for a couple of times I believe) back in the days before he moved to the US. So naturaly we were cheering for the Colombians during the race (and the Dutch of course).
We went there and met a couple of great guys and girls like Ivo van der Putten, Bas de Bever and Manon Valentino (damn she is so cute with here dreadlocks). And a lot of local hero’s like Woeste Willem, no Facebook page but I found a clip. But still no Colombians that is until we saw a table in the back with some ‘South American’ looking guys. We went to them and asked if they know the Colombians. And yes they were the Colombians. We started a conversation (not completly sober) and there was one realy nice guy, Carlos Oquendo! We had a really nice conversation with the guy. And of course we talked about Felipe and according to Vince Carlos knew him, he said Felipe was a great rider but they never rode together. So it was great meeting him. *picture*

And to you my friend (Felipe) I hope everything is great for you and your new born son and that we meet soon! And don’t say, who is that guy in the picture on the left, it’s still me but without dreadlocks.

This guy rode (although extremely slow) for my bikemessenger company a couple of times which makes him some kind of exenger. He now organises an event for the Good Cause and I haven’t got a clue what it’s about but it’s got bikes involved and probably a shitload of fun. “A.S.O. / Kleurstoff.. check it out!!!” is bound to happen in our pretty little town, Arnhemse Shit Ouwe

I found this cover of issue #171 on the Ride BMX blog, and this barspin by Scotty Cranmer is just fuccing HUGE! It’s not a photoshopped shot, the guy did actually drop in with now runway, did a barspin AND land on that stupid round semi-pillar!

Things like that should be illegal…

Lately I try to re-post as little as possible, but I HAD to re-post this!
I grew up bmxing, and PROPS Road Fools was THE shit! We used to watch it thousands of times on old school VHS. Still got some old bmx videotapes and a VHS player that works, I should connect that to my tv and watch all my old video tapes on a rainy Sunday afternoon.
Anyways, I found this vid on ZLOG about the Austin Church gap done by Jimmy Levan in Road Fools 1. The gap is fuccing INSANE! Just watch the video and enjoy. There are some nice interviews in it too.

Since FUCCIT once was a bike polo club, and FBM is one of my favorite bmx companies, I’ll show you the new Ballista bike by FBM. It’s a polo specific complete bike, and you can find all the info about parts etc on the FBM blog.

Yesterday I posted the Livery Design Gruppe Pursuit frame, today it’s the 3 Piece Tig Welded Riser Bars. I really like the late ’90s / early ’00s bmx look of it. It’s made of Double Butted Heat Treated 4130, got a 3″ rise and it got minimal up- and back sweep. Sounds perfect so far…
But the brainiacs at LDG gave it a 25,4mm clamp size… This means that almost everybody who’s riding FGFS these days with a bmx stem, will have to get a new stem to be able to ride with these bars.
So make these with a 22,2mm clamp size, and they WILL be perfect.
