An because I couldn’t find the ‘real’ porn movie from the clip above and wanted to make it a real bike porn post I found this photo shoot, so enjoy!

Don’t you hate it when you got just a bit too much stuff to carry with you to put in your fanny pack, but too little too ride with your messenger bag!
Chari & Co teamed up with LARS and made this Micro Messenger Bag. This way you got the perfect bag for those in between days! I’ld ride with it!
I know Chari is located in New York, but does there really has to be a New York print on the bottom of the bag? I personally have never been in NYC, so I feel kinda stupid to ride around with a big NYC print on my bag/back… If the bag wouldn’t have that print, it would be perfect, imho.
Still, you can get them right here.

First of all, let’s start with what Pristine has to say about their new saddle themselves:

We are excited beyond words to be able to present this collaboration with San Marco. We did a take on their classic Concor Supercorsa saddle. In my eyes the most iconic saddle in cycling history, one that has often been imitated but never equaled. We decided to keep it clean and simple (pristine, if you will) and make a vegan perforated Concor Supercorsa saddle.

We had been talking with San Marco for a while now as they were working on a vegan saddle that eventually became the Concor X. The X as an alternative symbol. Dedicated to people that are looking for products made with an alternative material to leather, but keeping the characteristic aesthetics of the Concor unchanged.

There are few companies that have been around as long as San Marco (since 1935) and the fact that San Marco understands that there is a demand for vegan saddles with that vintage look shows that they are moving with the times and are staying connected to an ever changing bicycle community.

We at Pristine are part of that new generation of cyclists as well, and we are honored to be working together with San Marco and are able to present this limited edition saddle; the San Marco X Pristine Concor X.

Limited to 200 pieces worldwide, once these are gone – they are gone forever. Made out of white Microfeel material instead of leather, these seats are 100% vegan. And the perforated cover gives it a nice vintage touch. With a subtle San Marco X Pristine logo on the side of the saddle. We hope you like these as much as we do.

Available at a special price for pre-order right now in our online shop over at www.pristinefixedgear.com

Ok, I like the looks of their saddle, but that’s because it’s a Concor… And I’m glad for our friends at Pristine that they got this huge collabo going on. But aren’t their millions of other vegan saddles on the market already? They might not be as vintage looking as this one, but hey, YOU decided to be vegan…

Today Utje and I went to the Bike Motion tradeshow in the Jaarbeurs in Utrecht. We were supposed to go by train, but Utje’s neighbour wanted to go too, so we went with his car instead!
When we arrived at the Jaarbeurs, it was a struggle to get the van in the parkinglot, due to stupid barriers that weren’t working…
When we arrived we had a look around and we walked to the polo court to say hi and congratulate Schilham with his birthday. It was a shame to find out there was a hostile vibe towards me/FUCCIT. After a quick chat with a couple of friendly guys, we found Stoffel and Skitch joined the crew too for a stroll around the trade show.
Despite the fact fixies are hot right now, there weren’t that much booths with fixies or fixie parts… We still enjoyed ourselves though! There were lovely road racing bikes and mountain bikes to be seen, and even lovelier booth babes!
And I lost 3 times from Utje…

  1. AA drink Gold Sprints
  2. Holland Sport Gold Sprints
  3. Soulcycle Arm wrestling

Another conclusion, energy bars and drinks are disgusting! We tried out several ones, and all the bars taste like old chewing gum and the drinks are nasty!
And Stoffel couldn’t get his hands on a single beer!

When we were back in Westervoort, Utje’s mum made us a lovely dinner! Some kind of tasty green soup with nice fresh bread. Thank you for that!

Some bike geek facts about the Arnhem – Westervoort – Arnhem ride:

  • Time: 36m50s
  • Distence: 14.24km
  • Average speed: 23.1km/h
  • Top speed: 37.9km/h
  • Burned calories: 234.9
