So a couple of months ago malle T showed us some nice polo clothing so we could dress in style at the polo court! Sadly it didn’t help, because with the rising temperature almost everyone took of their shirts last sunday.

Well, personally I’m not into nekkid and sweating manbodies so maybe with these nice shirts and polo’s we can keep our clothes on. Right guys?

come_play_polo

Anyway, the price of the shirt is 15 pounds and the polo is a bit expensive (40 pounds). But it’s good to know that 50 % of the shirt sales go to the European Hardcourt Bike Polo Championship.. Plus the organization of the EHBPC write that 100 % of the polo sales go to the organization. Since most of us can’t make it to the U.K. we can at least sponsor those guys, right? Do I sense a group buy for the polo shirts?

No drama today at the court, besides the usual shit…
And of course Skitch had to tear open his hand and he tried what was harder, the end of a mallet or his head, as you can see, his head lost…

Our dear friend Brainwash Wouter’s bike was stolen this week. So everybody keep an eye out for his bike, it’s quite easy to reconize, so here’s the description since there is no picture of his bike:

  • S&M Challenger 24″ Cruiser
  • 4 piece bar (not very common on a cruiser)
  • The brake handle is on the left (bike polo)
  • Chrome coloured frame
  • The hubs have allen bolts (inbus voor de dutchies)
  • Of this speccific frame are only 100 ones made and every single one is numbered, Wouter’s bike is #057

The guy (or girl) that brings the bike back to him gets a free pair of shoes I had to tell.

There’s even been a topic on this site about what happens during urban bicycle polo and what becomes of all the tension that is brought through the game. Fair enough to talk about what happens to you before, during and after the sundayafternoon sports. But when shit hits the fan, I’m not that much of a fighter, I’m a lover. I don’t like to express my real feelings in words so I put my wooden mallet aside and start talking the language of love.

Last year we did the Tourpoule of the “Telegraaf” and it was so much fun. So I decided to make a new subleague this year. So please register here and sign in for the “FUCCIT Tourpoule 2009″ (by clicking the “sociaal” button after registration). And fill in the name of the subleague; “FUCCIT Tourpoule 2009″ and the password is; “jahjah”.

Thanks and I hope to see a lot of registrations.

So the “24 hour race” is over and I just deleted the extra page I made for it. But because we don’t wanted to get all of the blogging to get lost I made a normal post with all the info from that page.
And at I just wanted to say thanks to Arthur, Niek and the “volgauto” for all the in course info they phoned me. Even when they just said; “where standing in the middle of nowhere and there is a guy with a flat tire”. I want to thank Vincent for helping me blogging. And at last I wanna say that it was a lot of fun doing it. And seeing the stats of our site it was really appreciated by your readers so thanks to you all!

Okay, enough is enough guys…..
What is the meaning of you guys playing polo?

Modern day professionals do not operate alone, but are a part of a bigger, better and competitive team. The quality of their work is not only based on their individual efforts, but also on their interaction with the team members.
Targets are achieved as a team, with success or failure shared by the whole team.
It is therefore important for you guys to be a good team member in addition to being an expert in “technical skills”.

For what it’s worth… it is not okay that time after time some of the boys are leaving the game crying, whining, rumble.
If your not feeling well about yourself, the game or whatever…. SPEAK!
Don’t rely on the six sense of your friend, or organ of smell. You have to speak up before your level of frustration is beyond…

Is not that hard… thats were friend are for…. Try to respect each others feelings and state of mind…. you might get some good feeling out of it …. and a nice polopotje.

Your choice is to get the message and move beyond the frustration — or stay where you are.

So tomorrow is the start of the biggest, hardest, longest and most fucced up couriers race in the world! And for the sixth time already. Most times I was standing at the checkpoint handing out beers that almost none took so I had to drink them. Last year I tried it myself together with Vincent and made it to Arnhem (300 km). Now I can say for sure that everyone who is trying to finish is fucced up insane in de head!

One of the best things every year was that you could follow the race online. Every checkpoint would put the time of every racer online so you could see who was leading and who quid. And also for mom, dad and grandmother who could see how their relative is doing.
But yesterday I heard that the DMA couldn’t do this anymore. Why don’t ask me. So the organizers came to ask FUCCIT to help them to arrange a webpage where everyone can check the standings of the 24 hour race. So it cost me some programming but I’m proud that they asked me. And here is the webpage where you can check the results in realtime!

Check here the topic about the 24 hour race (Dutch).

Let the race begin!
